Healing after the storm: How you can help those affected by Hurricane Sandy

Posted by on Nov 15, 2012 in News | 0 comments

After the extraordinary super-storm Sandy swept through the Northeast, she left a trail of devastation in her wake. And there are plenty more months of cleanup and rebuilding ahead.

Non-profits have rallied together to lend support to the relief efforts.  There are several ways to get involved and help in the recovery. Donations are a great way to start – donating anything extra you may have, from clothes to household goods, blankets, and sleeping bags.  Non-perishable food items are also needed. Check with your local non-profits, who may be putting together relief packages. Volunteering your time is also a great option and a rewarding way to spend your time.
